When I first met my husband, we were more buddies than anything else.
Being of very limited financial means, I never was able to see or do anything outside of Isaan.
In the beginning my husband was traveling for business and asked me if I would like to go along, which I thought was the best.
We would go to different countries and locations in Thailand, go sight-seeing, stay in fancy hotels and just have a good time hanging around together.
There was nothing romantic at all for at least a couple of months.
We were 2 good buddies that both enjoyed traveling and the excitement of new things.
After a while, I think we both came to the realization that we liked spending all of our time together.
Thai women hear so many stories of meeting someone, then getting dumped for no reason.
I had no idea what would happen but I knew I wanted to take a chance and I was given that chance.
All these years later, it was the best decision I could ever make.
My buddy has been like a dream come true and continues to amaze me every single day!
