Is Thailand right for you for the rest of your life?
That is a question many foreigners around the world have on their minds.
How can you be certain Thailand is right for your future?
The biggest drawback is tourists visiting Thailand for the first time are swayed by their tourist experience.
This experience immediately sells them on moving to Thailand.
That whole experience/decision making is very unwise.
Thailand is a perfect holiday destination with a pocket full of money.
NOT the same experience when you are living here fulltime.
You need to understand living in Thailand is NOT going to be a tourist experience.
It is about surviving life, day to day, just like in your own country.
One of the biggest drawbacks to foreigners moving to Thailand, is that they did NOT research exactly how/where they will be living.
Do you honestly think you can leave a 3/4 bedroom home in your own country and live in a 1 room studio condo the rest of your life?
Imagine having friends come over to your condo where the kitchen and bed are in the same 1 room?
You get the idea?
You are responsible for your OWN quality of life over the long term.
- Find a location that makes you happy.
- Find accommodations that will MEET YOUR needs over the long term.
It sounds easy, right?
However, the majority are so enamored over moving to Thailand, that they forget the 2 basic things above.
Over the Long Term is key.
You want to find the location and accommodation that does not cause you any stress, grief, problems or financial concerns.
A place you will be happy to call home the rest of your life.
If you are serious about spending the rest of your life in Thailand, you owe it to yourself to come stay for at least 2 months.
You need to experience what is like to survive daily life here.
Within 2 months you will know if Thailand is right for you or not.
When you are on a fixed income, you may learn that you CANNOT afford life here the way you thought it would be.
Moving away from your home country to Thailand is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make in life.
You need to research, research, research and ask questions from people with experience living here.
Continue to ask questions and take notes until ALL your concerns are addressed.
You need to understand what quality of life you will have on your monthly income amount.
Can you be happy the rest of you life on the quality of life you can afford?
Take the time upfront to understand exactly what moving to Thailand and living here the rest of your life entails before ever making the move.
You do NOT want to regret your decision later in life.
