2 Suit Cases

Many expats moving to Thailand reduce their entire lives to two suit cases.

Believe it.

Selling everything they own and moving to Thailand with whatever they can carry in only 2 suit cases.

What do you think about this idea?

I am finding out first hand!

Although I am not moving to Thailand because I already live here, we have a house in Florida that is stuffed full of things from the past 18 years.

We have finally decided that we will sell that house and everything in it. Never to return.

The decision has been made, and no matter the value, neither my husband or I feel sad about letting anything go.

We simply no longer need or want it.

Expensive vintage guitars, golf clubs, video arcade, stereo systems, numerous flat screen tv’s, computers, vintage dishes and crystal. Furniture, bedding, pots/pans, you name it.

It will all be left behind.

We have found over the years, this is all stuff we do not need and would never use in Thailand at our age.

What doesn’t sell gets donated to charity or given away to the neighbors.

My hubby has one suit case with clothes he had over here.

Small personal electronics, phones, MP3, Bose Headphones, Apple Earbuds.

I have some women’s clothes, shoes and a couple of handbags, lots of jewelry.

We are fortunate to already have everything we need in our Thai house.

However, for those moving to Thailand for the first time, the pots/pans, bath towels, dishes and the rest of the household items are very cheap and can be found anywhere.

Letting go of possessions is just that.

Letting go of things you probably never needed in the first place.

Reducing to 2 suit cases is no big deal. You learn quickly that the quality of the life you are headed for is worth more than all the possessions you accumulated over a lifetime.

Please consider a small donation if this was of help or interest to you.
