Rural Life

Why don’t foreigners settle for the rural life in Thailand?

Can you imagine yourself surrounded by 10,000’s of rai’s of sugar cane and nothing else?

I can and we do.

The best life for us.

The per capita income in this area is US $300 a month and yet Thai locals survive and are very happy.

Everything is very cheap and fresh.

People are extremely friendly.

The quality of life is very slow and peaceful.

I suspect many tourists are never exposed to rural Thailand, thus have no idea what living here is all about?

Then there are those tourists moving that need to be near other expats and western amenities.

There are again those that only know the tourists areas and think that is all there is to Thailand?

Over the course of a lifetime, I still believe rural Thailand offers the best quality life for foreigners; although many will never try.
