Motorbike Accident

A motorbike accident between a Bolt taxi driver carrying a Russian passenger and a foreigner driving a big bike in Jomtien last night injured all three, the big bike rider critically.

Witnesses claim the taxi rider made a sudden unsafe U-turn without warning, causing the accident, but police are investigating.

At the scene, near the right lane by the road’s median, authorities found a red-black Yamaha Finn motorcycle overturned and damaged.

The rider, identified as 23-year-old Jesadaporn Tonnoy, a Bolt app taxi rider, was injured and lying on the road.

Nearby, his unidentified Russian passenger had sustained bruises, chest discomfort, and back pain.

Approximately 300 meters away, a Triumph Trident 660cc big bike was found overturned, with its foreign rider—whose identity and nationality remain unconfirmed as of press time—severely injured.

Rescue personnel and medical teams provided first aid at the scene before rushing all victims to a nearby hospital.

According to eyewitnesses, the taxi rider, carrying the Russian passenger, made a sudden U-turn across a zebra crossing—a designated pedestrian area with a traffic signal—cutting into the opposite lane.

The big bike rider, traveling at high speed, collided with the taxi motorcycle, causing the foreign big bike rider to be thrown into a palm tree on the median, resulting in critical injuries.

Deputy Inspector Chaynaret Phengkaen of Pattaya City Police Station, who is handling the case, documented the scene and will review CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Authorities are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to ensure justice for all parties involved, with legal proceedings to follow.
