You Can’t Right the Wrongs

If you get past the colorful marketing brochures, the Real Thailand has serious issues.

The majority of these issues resolve around money.

Reading the Thai news everyday, I am appalled at all the different crimes being reported.

The majority are committing crimes for money.

Foreigners are viewed as having a lot of money and can easily become targets of Thai crime.

As a foreigner you have to think and understand that crimes happen on a daily basis.

Always be on the lookout and protect yourself from becoming a victim.

If you are naive and think everything is the land of smiles, you may learn a very hard and expensive lesson.

Monks are being arrested in droves for committing sinful crimes.

The Buddhist society as a whole has broken down, where some Thai’s will commit crime just to get some money.

Each year, crime gets worse and worse.

Much of the crime is under-reporting to prevent and exodus of tourist dollars from coming to Thailand.

Be aware, crime is an everyday occurrence here.

Thai’s will commit any crime for money, never once have a regard for the law or remotely concerned they will get caught and go to prison.

If you spend time in Thailand, you may in fact be a victim or witness a crime.

You cannot right all the wrongs here, you can only recognize that crime does exist and protect yourself from being a victim.
