In rural Isaan, costs are extremely low.

Very cheap.
The downfall is you will be living way out in a rural location far from anywhere.
You will need a motorbike, As of Aug 2025, a brand new 110cc Honda can be purchased for US $1200.
Food is purchased in local markets, and there are local shops selling food like noodles for 40 thb.
Now if you had 30,000 thb per month here, you could have a pretty decent life.
You won’t see other foreigners or find locals that speak English.
However, if you wanted to live in Thailand on a low budget, you could do just that.
Within motorbike range, you would be able to get to Tesco or others stores that sell western groceries.
You can get unlimited 5g cell service for 300 thb a month and use that for your internet.
Basically everything you need for a low cost life.
Having a truck would be ideal!
Also, you maybe able to save enough each month for a holiday.
If living is Thailand is your dream, maybe you need to expand your understanding or rural Thailand.
