These are some 2025 costs for furnishing a house in rural Isaan for an expat-Thai family.
We are fortunate to afford some things, many here cannot afford.
Exchange rate was 32 thb to US $1
Air Conditioner – A brand new air conditioner to cool the house cost 18,000 thb installed.

Refrigerator 8000 thb – This is one of the larger sizes.

The TV stand was additional 3500 thb.
We also have recently acquired AIS 1 gb home internet for 899 thb per month

All the things shown in this post were sourced from local sellers in our village.
Appliances came from Tesco in another town.
This is quite a huge step from a US $500,000 + house we lived in, in Florida USA
While we are looking for more land to build a new house, this is how we are currently living.
There is nothing wrong with this as long as you can accept the Thai way.
You really do NOT need any more than this as material things are not what will bring you happiness here.
You have to accept the simplicist lifestyle.
