Wat Pha Sorn Kaew (Thai: วัดผาซ่อนแก้ว; meaning: temple on a glass cliff), also known as Wat Phra That Pha Son Kaeo (Thai: วัดพระธาตุผาซ่อนแก้ว), is a temple in Khao Kho in north-central Thailand.

The 5 Headed Buddha Wat is set on an 830m peak, a few hundred meters from the town of Kheam Son on the main highway 12, between Phitsanulok and Lom Sak.
This is another example of the wonderful attractions found in the Isaan region of Thailand.
I think I saw maybe 3 foreigners total visiting at the same time I was there, so these places are not well known to tourists.
The main pagoda and surrounding buildings are adorned with over 5 million colorful mosaic tiles and pottery items and is set in a mountain location.

There is a stained glass gazebo and a smaller pagoda in the gardens.

One of the attractions of the marvelous 5 Headed Buddha, is the view of the Khao Kor mountains in the distance.

The main Wat exterior, gardens and adjoining buildings are complete and open to visitors.

Currently, there is no well-developed tourist infrastructure surrounding the site. It is only accessible by private car or tour, as there is no public transport from the nearest towns of Lom Sak, Phetchabun or Phitsanulok.
Parking can be very steep and chaotic, as there is only 1 narrow road leading to the temple and parking is very limited.
Traffic jams can occur while trying to find parking, although the local parking attendants try their best.
There are many shops selling fruits, wines, clothes and other things.

There is a cafe named “Chill View” with an awesome view of the Khao Khoa mountains as well.

Wat Pha Sorn Kaew is really one of the wonders of Thailand.
Tourists never venture into Isaan and therefore never get a chance to see some of the most beautiful attractions in the whole country.
