Nigerian Man Arrested in Bangkok’s Inthamara Area After Undercover Drug Sting

A 36-year-old Nigerian man was arrested in Bangkok after Immigration Bureau officers carried out an undercover operation targeting drug distribution networks in the capital. Police say the operation is part of a broader crackdown on narcotics in tourist-heavy areas.

Investigators received a tip-off and began monitoring the suspect’s activities in the Inthamara area. After gathering enough evidence, officers conducted a sting operation in which the man attempted to deliver cocaine and ecstasy valued at approximately ฿102,000. He was identified as Ezidom Collins Chibuike and later admitted the drugs belonged to him. He claimed to have purchased them from another African contact but declined to identify the supplier.

Officials reported that the suspect was involved in supplying drugs to groups of foreign tourists in Soi Inthamara 25, located in Bangkok’s Samsen Nai area of Phaya Thai District. The undercover operation resulted in his swift arrest and the seizure of both cocaine and ecstasy pills.

On December 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM, senior Immigration Bureau officers held a press briefing at their headquarters in Muang Thong Thani, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. The update was delivered by Pol. Maj. Gen. Panthana Nuchanart, Deputy Commissioner of the Immigration Bureau, who confirmed that the arrest aligns with an ongoing citywide effort to curb drug activity in entertainment zones.
