Not So Good

When you read the news in Thailand, you get a totally different opinion than those of tourists coming here.

Thailand is full and I mean full of problems.

Tourist areas and cities seem to be the worst, although no area in the entire country is immune.

Foreigners in areas like Phuket, seem to be causing more problems than ever.

Working/starting illegal businesses reserved for Thai people, fighting, theft, alcoholism, you name it.

Teenage gangs all over the country causing problems for the innocent and themselves with weapons being a big part of it.

Scams are still abound in the cities and tourist areas.

Trash is piling up all over the island hotspots.

Illegal burning in rural Isaan, Chiang Mai and other areas is getting worse and worse.

Trucks belching out black smoke all over the place.

People seem to care only about themselves and money.

Air pollution, drunk driving and drugs are constantly in the news.

Yet, the majority of tourists look to Facebook and think everything here is wonderful and glamorous.

When they arrive and things start to happen, they wonder why Thailand isn’t this mecca portrayed on Facebook?

Awareness should be the #1 goal for any tourist researching coming to Thailand.

Be aware of the reality that not so good things happen here on a daily basis.

Get your head out of the sand and pay attention.
