This time of year is harvest season in rural Isaan.
What once was fields of towering, luscious green sugarcane, has been reduced to plowed fields.
If you didn’t live here, you might think this is normal.
But for those of us locals, the entire landscape is transferred into what could be any farming community in America.
It is the way of life here and a constant reminder that rural Isaan will always be a farming community.
