Today I attended the High School Graduation of my cousin’s daughter, at the same school in rural Isaan I attended over 20 years ago.
There are now over 1,400 students attending this school.
Not much has changed for graduation ceremonies.
The students are seated in the auditorium and called up to the stage 2 rows at a time for a school photo.
There are given a diploma template to hold in the photo.
No names are called out or anything.
Assemble on stage, take the photo and graduation is over.
After 4 years of school, it seems very cheap that the students are not recognized by name.
