With the scarcity of water in rural Isaan, it is extremely rare to see an entire lake filled in with dirt, to be used for sugarcane planting.
This was a massive amount of water.
I have no clue why anyone would want to do this, but it appears the owners feel the land is more valuable as farm land than water.
Will be interesting to follow this story along.
