Either Tourist or Resident

You have 2 choices, either come here as a tourist on a holiday or hold a long term visa that allows you to live here like a resident.

That’s it.

If you don’t fall into one of those 2 categories, don’t bother coming here.

Tourist means coming for 2 weeks to 4 weeks on a holiday. Stay in resorts, live it up at the beach, fine dining, islanding hopping, clubbing, have a ball.

Long term visa means Marriage, Retirement or LTR. Even a DTV! Something that is approved by the government allowing you to live here.

Doing extended VISA’s, border hopping (which is almost closed) or any other trickery not involving the first 2, means you should not be here.

It you don’t have a legal means to live here then do not.

How much more simple can it get?

There is a bunch of foreigners in the news recently getting arrested for selling drugs, working with no work permit, stealing, fighting, you name it. Read the news here at Visual Thailand to understand how many are getting arrested.

You won’t like Thai prison (which many claim is worse than hell).

So don’t risk it. Don’t break the law.

If you come across the law, overstay your visa, you can get blacklisted and never be able to return.

2 Choices. It is that simple.

Do the right thing!
