Leaving Your Country

How did you feel when you were boarding the plane, leaving your country for the last time to move to Thailand?

I had a similar experience when I got married and then 10 years later moved to the US.

I had never been outside of my own country, so I was full of excitement and apprehension at the same time. I was leaving my family and not knowing when I would return.

Some expats seem super excited to leave their home countries to move to Thailand.

Some expats appear to have a genuine dislike for their home countries and embrace leaving.

Moving anywhere is never easy.

Moving thousands of miles to a new country, language and new culture is even harder.

Some people have terrible living conditions in their home countries and cannot wait to move to Thailand.

Others move because it is cheaper and their only way to financially survive.

I would guess 98% of the people moving have no reservations about living their home country and never returning?

They get on the airplane excited to be leaving their home country, looking forward to a life in Thailand.

How did you feel when you got on the plane to Thailand, knowing you would never be moving back?
