Easier to Live Healthy

As expats get older, their dietary needs change.

With the coming of old age, medical conditions such as diabetes can occur.

When you are diagnosed and need to change your diet, is it not that hard in Thailand.

I am surely not saying all Thai food is healthy, because it is not.

However, it is easy to find fresh vegetables and fruits.

My husband looks 20 years younger than he is.

He extremely limits all carbo-hydrates, sugar, starch, white bread, pasta, rice and others.

Not eating rice and living in Thailand, right!

Sounds like this does leave much choice to eat, right?

He eats a variety of grilled fish and meat, eggs, and fresh green leafy vegetables.

Somtum and grilled chicken can be found almost anywhere.

Drink Soursop and other healthy tea’s made from fresh leaves every day.

Also fasting 16 hours between meals.

Long gone are the days of western fast food, pizza, deserts etc.

It is boring eating for sure, however, when you get older, eating healthy can make you sleep better, feel better and avoid many medical issues in old age.

It is a choice each individual has to make.
