Only those with proper authorization can work in Thailand. Foreign nationals caught engaging in unauthorized work will face legal consequences.
There is a long list of jobs reserved for Thai people only, yet we always see foreigners encroaching on their jobs, thinking they will get away with it.
It shocking the number of foreigners that will risk getting caught and sent to a Thai prison?
Perhaps these foreigners do not understand the conditions in a Thai prison?
That is one place I would be sure never to get sent to.
If you want to live in Thailand but you cannot afford it and you have to work illegally, sooner or later you will get caught. That is a fact.
When you do get caught and arrested, it will NOT be worth the small amount of money you were able to earn.
The laws are in place for a reason.
If you break the law and get caught, you will find your rights as a foreigner, very limited.
If you cannot afford to remain in Thailand legally, do not risk it.
