Getting Fuel

To get your vehicle filled with fuel in Thailand, pull into the petro station. These gas stations will have attendant’s to pump the fuel for you.

Turn off the engine.

Roll down your window and tell the attendant how many baht’s worth of fuel you need or if you need the tank filled say “dem thang” in Thai.

They may put a sign on your hood while fueling your vehicle. They will also wash your windscreen.

When the fuel is full, you pay the attendant.

If you are on a motorbike, turn off the motorbike, get off the bike and flip the seat open. Standby the motorbike until the fuel is full, then push it away from the pump before starting on your way.

Getting fuel is not rocket science, Thai’s have their own way of doing it that you should be aware of.
