I think no one was smart enough to understand that the majority of the rural poor where I live are uneducated to the point they cannot read or write.
How in the world would they know how to download an app and get access to the money?
The answer is they don’t know, which cause a giant queue at the bank today with these folks seeking to get help from someone in the bank to add the app and get them access.
For the regular banking customers, this create chaos in trying to get a number to see a teller to make a simple withdrawal.
Thailand requires a ton of patience.
