It is hot in Isaan with temps hitting 98f (36.6) degrees today. Yesterday recorded 98.6 f (37c).
There has been NO rain for months, as is common this time of the year.
As we move into March and April, 2026 weather forecasts are predicting high temperatures in the 42c to 43c (109f) degree range.
Now that is damn hot!
When it is this hot and dry for months at a time, it makes farming life hell, unless you have access to plenty of water.
The sun will back the soil into hard clay pieces.
While are tourists complains when it rains during their holiday, we here in Isaan, embrace the rainy season 100%.
Everything is growing and lush and green.
