Step up & down transformer. Used to step down Thailand’s 220VAC to 110 AC or step up the other way.
A lot of folks claim when moving to Thailand sell everything and buy here because it is cheaper.
That is not true with cordless tools. 12v cordless tools in Thailand cost much more than 20v tools from the USA.
For the builders and DIY’s out there, having quality tools has always been an important part of being able to do the job.
Amazon has free international shipping with a customs fee going on.
We am finding the customs fee, which is shown on Amazon before purchasing, is much less that the items that do NOT have free shipping.
We ordered a bunch of Craftsmen and Dewalt 20v cordless tools.
The issue is from the US, the battery chargers use 110VAC.
Found Johsun step up & step down transformer on Lazarda for 750 baht. Very heavy duty unit.
I charged 4 20v Craftsmen tool batteries and it is working solidly.
Places like DO Home and others, seem to charge 1 price for the tool, another price for the charger and a third price for the battery (12v) which are expensive by quite a bit more than ordering US tools from Amazon and using this converter.
