Wat Tham Pha Keung (also spelled Wat Tham Pha Keng), a prominent Buddhist temple located on the Phu Wiang mountain range in the Wiang Kao District of Khon Kaen Province, Thailand.Â

It is on quite a slope, so plan on walking uphill.
Key Features of the Temple
- Giant Golden Buddha: The central landmark is an immense golden Buddha statue depicted in the Abhaya Mudra (the gesture of protection). Behind its head is a Dharma wheel. This statue was completed in 2011 at a reported cost of 119 million baht.

- Naga Pillars: The entrance is marked by striking pillars entwined with Naga (serpentine) carvings. These pillars are topped with lion capitals, which are replicas of the Ashoka Pillars.

- Phra Setthi Nawagot:Â The temple also houses an image of Phra Setthi Nawagot, a nine-faced Buddha believed to bring prosperity, luck, and happiness to those who worship it.

- Location and Atmosphere: Situated within the Phu Wiang National Park area, the temple is known for its peaceful, shaded atmosphere, making it a popular site for Dhamma practice and meditation.Â
