How much would a coup affect Thailand’s current attempts at increasing tourism? While the mention of a coup has been denied, how many foreign tourists would still be willing to visit in the event a coup was in progress?
Looking back at previous coups, any coup with violence spilling into the streets might seriously affect tourism.
However, the opposite could be true if there is no violence due to the fact the majority of tourists are not concerned with Thai Politics and just want a relaxing holiday.
