For anyone that visited Koh Lipe in the past 10 years, and then again in 2022, the place is just not the same.
A once idyllic, peaceful place to enjoy the world at a leisurely pace has evolved into a madhouse of longtail boats and guest houses.
Granted those that have all the money and power, can buy and build anywhere, but where does it stop?
These great places are all being over commercialized to the point no one wants to go there.
Well, I don’t want to go there anymore.
Why in the world is there no regulation to preserve the integrity of these beautiful places?
Not one thought is ever given to over-building.
It is all about how do I get my share of the tourism dollars.
We are very sad to see this happening all over Thailand
