Thailand has reported 16,662 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths between May 4–10, 2025.
According to the Department of Disease Control, most cases are in working-age adults, particularly those aged 30–39. The death toll doubled compared to the previous week, signaling a continued upward trend, not a decline.
Health experts urge caution as symptoms may now be mild, but reinfections are common. The public is advised to maintain hygiene, wear masks when sick, and avoid close contact in high-risk settings.
Vaccine availability remains limited in Thailand, with most hospitals no longer stocking COVID-19 vaccines due to cost and storage concerns.
