Chinese Lanterns

In Thailand, paper lanterns, called khom loi, are a key part of festivals like Loy Krathong, symbolizing the release of bad luck and bringing good wishes for the future. These lanterns are often made of rice paper and bamboo, and released into the night sky to pay respect to the Buddha.
