Collecting Rain Water

In rural villages where there is no full time running water, villagers have to resort to collecting rain water.

It is amazing how clear the rain water is.

Rain water is collected in giant ceramic vats or 2000+ liter plastic water tanks for use in baths, washing clothes and dishes.

The rain water can be collected from the roofs and run-off into the storage containers.

It might seem archaic to all those who have had running water their entire lives, but it is a way of life in rural Isaan if you want to have water when you need.

Just another thing you have to improvise here.
