Thailand has a bad habit of over-commercializing natural tourist spots for profit.
The latest, at Mo Hin Khao, (The Stonehenge of Thailand), shocked me due to the natural significance of this site.
Mo Hin Khao is located in Phu Laenkha National Park in Ban Wang Kham Khan, Mu 9, Tha Hin Tambon Ngoam, Amphoe Muang, Chaiyaphum.
There are several groups of rocks here. First is “Sao Hin Ha Ton” (Five Rock Pillars). The rocks are around 12 meters tall.

Visitors flock to this site for peace and tranquility, to hold against the rocks for what claim are magical and healing powers.
The area used to be 100% complete natural with historic signs describing each of the 5 rocks.
Today, there are over 100 vendors parked in the parking lot, where the visitors use to park.

There are lights strung up everyone, flower gardens added, and all kind of debris in the parking lot.

We were told that this would be going on for 4 months for some promotion associated with Chaiyaphum 2026?
Whatever is going on the natural vibe to this location is just not the same.
With vendors comes trash and noise.
Sites like this should be left alone and not profited from.
Very sad to see this today.
