Be advised if you drive in the rural areas of Isaan, that your GPS and Google Maps may not work at all.
Additionally, the signs will all be in Thai and the locals will not speak any English.
If you do not know where you are going, it is very easy to get lost.
There is no one that can explain how to get back to your destination.
If you have to get off the main roads, be careful you know where you are going so that you do not get lost.
