With the advent of social media, there is a ton of false information concerning Thailand.
People have an odd way of portraying things in Thailand to get clicks.
Tourist that have visited once, become self-proclaimed experts on everything Thai.
Maybe the truth is really not that interesting or news worthy, so people make things up?
I would never take anything I have read on social media about Thailand as gospel.
Because if you do, and you finally follow through, you might be shocked how far off the information was.
You might even find yourself in a regrettable situation or financial loss.
When you find long time foreigners that have lived in Thailand for 10+ years and have subscriber bases over 100,000+, then you can rely on and respect that information.
Youtuber’s Mark Wiens, Paddy Doyle, Jwinthai, Global Travel Mates, Live Love Thailand and Bangkok 69 have all lived here for years and pretty much show you how life is really like here.
The majority of the wannabe’s, cannot be trusted and do not have the experience living in Thailand to provide factual information.
The majority of these people have zero education, job skills or experience and are trying to rely on clicks to be able to financially support themselves in Thailand.
Do NOT fall for it!
The amount of people on FB that asked dumb questions like:
Where should I stay in Thailand?
What should I see and do in Thailand?
And not having a clue why they are even coming to Thailand, will fall for all the foolishness posted on social media.
I have traveled all over the world and never once had the thought to ask strangers on social media what I should see or do.
Have people regressed so far backward as to have to rely on social media and not use their brain to do their own research?
Beware if you planning a trip to Thailand or listening to advice from people you do not know!
