Younger Youtuber’s are always pitching how cheap their condo rent is.
In many places, you can get a nice condo for as little as US $300 a month.
The big issue with Youtuber’s is that they are piecing together a living for today and today only.
How much equity do you build up over a lifetime when everything is going to rent?
The answer of course is ZERO.
If you are trying to make a go in Thailand as a Youtuber or social media person, you are getting ZERO pension.
ZERO Pension, ZERO equity.

What happens at age 65 when you are too old for Youtube?
Worse yet, how many people remember before Youtube? Do you think Youtube will last forever?
No it won’t.
By then all these Youtuber’s will have aged 10 more years, have no equity and no pension.
Zero job experience.
It is fun to move to Thailand and live in the now.
Thailand is a fun place!
But it is completely stupid as evidenced by the personal quality of the Youtuber’s in general.
They spin these far out stories, selling the dream of life will be cool forever.
No, sorry. Life does not work that way in Thailand or anywhere else.
I have discussed before that if you only spent 30,000 thb per month from age 60 to age 80, you would have needed to save US $220,000 before age 60.
How many of these Youtubers just barely hanging on will be able to save even this minimum US $220,000?
It is equivalent to having to save US $1,000 every month for 20 years.
How do Youtubers plan to save that much when they are living on less because that is all they have?
Youtubers will either disappear at the demise of Youtube by AI, or else the Youtuber’s themselves will disappear when they get old and realized they didn’t or couldn’t save anything for retirement.
Those stories I am sure we will never hear?
Thailand is a place for those folks that have paid their dues working their entire lives for a pension that can afford them living here.
It won’t be long before the stories of all the young Youtuber’s demise becomes the news.
Don’t be silly and move here thinking you will be living the rest of you life just getting by.
Real life doesn’t work that way.
