Social media is awash with more BS about Thailand than a person can ever imagine.
Don’t be foolish and believe anything on social media.

Yes, it is almost impossible to make money or get a job here with a livable salary.

I am not going to write stories and lie you can live here for $500 a month the rest of your life and have everything you want because it is not true.
Life cost money here and to enjoy the western things you are use to, it is going to cost you even more.
If you move here NOT understanding what quality of life your budget can provide, you will screw yourself.
You will end up hating living here.
For the men dreaming of meeting the girl, she will have her own wants and if you cannot afford them, see ya, on to the next one that can.
It is a no win situation for Thai’s and expats with no money here.

Come visit rural Isaan where in 2025 there are still households with no running water.
Thailand is NO magical rose garden.
Your life’s problems will not sort themselves out because you move to Thailand.
You will still need a way to make it to retirement someday and have some retirement savings put away.
How you can do that barely surviving is anyone’s guess but many learn the hard way.
If Thailand was as easy and cheap as social media portrays, the entire world would want to live here.
It’s never that easy, only easy for people trying to sell a fake rose garden with enough clicks so they can stay here.
Retire here yes!
Other than retiring, better have a concrete, fail-proof guaranteed plan.
