Love Thailand or hate it?
Everyone has a reason for their own choice.
No one can argue with another person’s reason’s for loving or hating Thailand.
This is because we all have had our own experiences.
Your personal experiences in Thailand will shape your opinion or whether you love it here or hate it.
I am certainly not going to try to convince you to love Thailand, if you hate it.
You have your own reasons for hating Thailand and they may be 100% valid.
Being born here and growing up here, I also have experience living in the USA as a US Citizen.
I love Thailand because it is my country, my birthplace, my culture and things I am use to and familiar with.
Expat’s all have their own personal reasons for loving or hating Thailand?
I have not walked in their shoes or shared the experiences, which may be very valid.
If you ask my American husband, he would be somewhere in the middle.
He is NOT in love with ANY geographical location. He has been in Thailand a long time and is accustomed to everything Thai. It is home so it accepts it as such.
He would be the last person to tell you he hates the USA as well.
Living in Thailand fulltime is a learning experience for most expats.
The more years you spend here, the more you learn, the more you can accept and the more you can look the other way.
I don’t hate people that hate Thailand.
If they experienced Thailand and things went grossly wrong, or they got scammed or divorced, I can see them hating Thailand.
I can also see the single lonely seniors loving Thailand.
Thailand is just another country full of different experiences which can shape your opinion of love or hate.
We know and accept Thailand is not perfect, not even close.
We hope if you move to Thailand, you end up loving it and wanting to stay.
