Male Marital Infidelity

Thailand Tops Global Ranking for Male Marital Infidelity

Thailand has emerged as the country with the highest rate of infidelity among married men, with 56% admitting to having cheated on their spouse, according to data published by World of Statistics on September 1.

The figure places Thai men ahead of those in any other country included in the study, offering a glimpse into how marital fidelity varies around the world.

The data was shared in a post by World of Statistics on the social media platform X (@stats_feed), listing percentages of married men who reported being unfaithful in various countries. Denmark followed Thailand at 46%, with Italy close behind at 45%, and France at 43%. Other notable entries include Germany (40%), the United States (39%), and the United Kingdom (36%).

The APA also noted differences in post-affair outcomes between men and women. Among men who cheat, 61% remain married, while 34% end up separated or divorced. In contrast, only 44% of women who have affairs stay in their marriage, with 47% experiencing separation or divorce.

These findings highlight the complexity of marital relationships and how infidelity is influenced by cultural, emotional, and relational factors that differ across countries.
