Could you live in rural Isaan, Thailand, with no water or electricity?
Believe it or not, many Thai people do.
They might own lots of land where they can grow everything they need for food and also use the land for farming rice and sugarcane to make an income.
Many of these folks live in nothing more than a small hut with zero modern conveniences.
No air conditioning, no appliances and still cook on fire.
This is the way they chose to live and many continue to live this way in 2026.
It is quite fascinating to take a drive down the backroads of rural Isaan to lean and understand how locals live.
They are always extremely happy and friendly, content with their own lives.
If you were given a large amount of land in rural Thailand, do you think you could like live this?
