There is a ton of misinformation about Thailand on social media.
Be warned.
Even admin’s running large 300,000+ member FB groups are known to spout off misinformation.
Do NOT take anything you read on social media as the truth without verifying.
Many of the people on social media do NOT know any more than you already do.
They are not running these groups out of the kindness of their hearts, are they?
Do you think an expat living in Thailand knows more than Thai people that have lived here their entire lives?
These expats sure seem to think they know everything about everything Thai, and they do not.
You can really get yourself screwed up in Thailand if you follow any advice and find out later it is not true.
After reading that the majority of expats get away with vaping in Thailand, an expat was arrested, fined 5,000 thb, spent some time in jail and deported. (Thailand is cracking down with harder laws on vaping and it IS against the law!)
Thailand is not the place to get into any sort of trouble.
