The question at hand is whether or not to let social media go unchecked? Meaning, should people challenge all the misinformation they see on social media groups like Facebook?
Facebook is awash with misinformation, fake people and profiles, and a whole of self proclaimed experts.
I always wonder how people can proclaim themselves to be a Thailand expert when they have never lived in Thailand?
Or those that know 4 or 5 words in Thai to try to impress others that they know the language?
If you call these people out in Facebook groups, the first thing that happens with any negative comments is to be banned from the group.
The ultimate power trip to control the narrative and ensure their fake secrets are safe.
They should rename Facebook to Fakebook.
Copying others photos, videos, reels and posting all over FB. Making up stories as they go along.
The 1,000’s of Youtuber’s who will tell you the world is flat if they can make $10 from that story.
On and on and on it goes.
I have never seen on profile of any person that I would like to meet in person.
People that spend their lives of Facebook, do not have a real life.
They need to pump themselves up to feel good about themselves.
It is better to leave these social media people unchecked.
You can never get to the truth, when their entire lives are built of telling stories on Facebook.
Go out in the world and meet some real people.
