One thing that is hugely different from the USA, is when you go to the big brand stores, make a purchase and have to check out.
I was recently in Global House buying 2 mattresses, some chairs, a clothes dryer and a chest freezer.
After selecting what I wanted, I had to go to the customer service area and take a seat.
The customer service ladies will ring up your purchase and scan for any product coupons that may reduce the over-all cost of your purchase.
They will also help to arrange delivery if required.
Once that is all completed, you pay for your purchases right there.
The entire process takes around 30 minutes. Yes, 30 minutes or more!
Once the purchase is paid for, you have to show the receipt to the people working the door who will verify your items match what is on the paid receipt.
One the purchase has been paid for and the receipt verified at the door, other store employees will help you load it in your truck and tie the load down if required.
