The Need for Money

Thailand is no free ride. Just like any other country in the entire world.

People need money to survive, period.

The amount differs between people, however, EVERYONE needs money.

I surmise there are many people that haven’t quite figured out why people have to work their entire lives to save enough to retire?

The younger generation has zero idea how much needs to be saved until retirement at age 65 or 67?

They believe if they can get by month to month, they have it made!

The stupidest logic ever.

If you read the Thai news, everyday there are people getting arrested for crimes involving their lack of money.

Rising crime is directly attributed to those that did/do not work or save enough money to live in Thailand.

You have to be pretty stupid to break the law here and get banged up in a Thai prison.

Whatever little money you made from crime? It is not going to be worth spending years in prison in Thailand.

Thailand, depending on how you live, can be cheaper than your home country or it can be more expensive. It all depends on your lifestyle. Costs money!

Don’t think you will be living in a sea-side mansion if you are earning peanuts.

Even though this is my home, if I had endless money, I would choose to live somewhere else.

But I am not going to move somewhere and commit crimes to survive.

If you are silly enough not to plan how to make it through the end of your life financially, you will be in for a rude surprise in Thailand.

If you don’t have an income that you can see the light at the end of the tunnel at age 65, don’t come here. It will end badly.

I read the news today.

A 53 year old Canadian man found dead in his car.

He left a note.

He struggled with severe health issues and his company went bankrupt.

Sad he had to die, but those are the realities of what can happen if you don’t have to money to bail yourself out of any financial issues here.

Think hard people.

Thailand is no paradise for free your entire life.

The older you get when you finally realize that, it may be too late.

Understand the costs of a lifetime in Thailand.
