Your Not Living

Social media is not living in Thailand. It’s not even close.

Neither is being a tourist here.

Or living in a tourist area.

It is just another country named Thailand, with as much as a western life as you can get.

McDonald’s? Come on. You came all the way here for that?

Thailand has become so over-commercialized that holiday destinations are far from what Thai life is really like.

Over priced everything solely aimed and making money.

It is a more a copy of the same holiday destinations with beaches around the world, with the only difference being Thai people and Thai language.

I can understand the allure of coming to the beaches, if you don’t live near or have never been to a beach.

But understand you are getting an experience solely aimed at separating you from your money before you go back home.

It is no way authentic Thai by any means.

To find authentic Thai experiences, one has to move far away from the tourist destinations.

Out to where the real working class Thai people live.

Out to the faithful that have not sold their souls trying to rip off tourists in holiday destinations.

If you are looking for the tourist experience, you will get just that.

Drunken foreigners fighting, Lady Boy brawls, getting ripped off.

But it won’t be anything remotely resembling an authentic experience.

It will be the same as any other tourist destination.

Too bad people make their decisions based on social media.

It is in no way living an authentic Thai experience.

Thai people work in those locations to make money from you.

It is not really living now is it?
