As a Thai, sometimes I feel like I really want to offer foreign tourists advice; that I feel is more accurate than foreign Youtuber’s.
However, living in Thailand and coming here to visit as a tourist is a completely different experience than living here everyday.
It is hard to explain to tourists and have them accept that if they move to Thailand, the experience is going to be much less than they anticipate.
Living anywhere costs money and Thailand is no different.
If you have to work, you don’t have much time to be a tourist. Too busy working and sleeping.
Daily life here is a completely different experience.
As a tourist you have zero daily obligations and you can do whatever you want, whenever you want.
Living here comes with daily responsibilities, just like in your own country.
Those daily experiences are not always fun and exciting.
Just like they are not fun and exciting in your own country.
Thailand really offers NO magic bullet unless you can do what you want everyday on your own terms.
To do that, it takes money and lots of it.
Some have cracked the Youtube nut and make enough to travel around doing what they want every year.
However, they are really in the minority and no one really knows if they can save enough to retire someday or what happens when AI renders Youtube obsolete?
If you can afford a normal life here, you are way ahead of the majority of Thai people.
If you think everyday is going to be the tourist experience, hope you have a lot of money to make it come true.
Working here is no fun. Working is no fun anywhere.
But life costs a lot of money.
To live your life same as a tourist in Thailand takes a huge amount of money.
There is no easy way to get money here.
