Wild animals were not created for human entertainment.
They are captured, enslaved and physically broken to be used to generate money.
Their owners are greedy, immoral, cruel people that think nothing of enslaving wild animals for personal profit.
The worst ignorance of all is YOU! The tourist. You are the ones providing the financial backing for this outrageous behavior!
A selfie of you bathing an elephant or feeding a bottle to a tiger is more important to you than the cruelty inflicted on these enslaved animals.
If you think you need a selfie of this to brag to all your friends, you are a very ignorant and callous person.
In Thailand, a controversial practice known as the Phajaan or “elephant crushing” has been used to domesticate and control wild baby elephants, often for use in tourism or work.
This process is widely criticized by animal welfare groups due to the significant physical and psychological distress it inflicts upon the young elephants.Â
But you, yes you, are the ones that fund this gregarious behavior, all for the benefit of a selfie.
No selfie on earth is worth the pain caused to these wild animals.
And no one really cares about your selfie.
Before you financially support these businesses in Thailand, remember what these poor creatures had to go through just to entertain you.
It’s not right, and yes it is ignorant to support this.
