Property Rights

Thinking about securing your long-term right to live on a property in Thailand? You have two main legal options — but they are very different:

 Usufruct (สิทธิเก็บกิน):

Lifetime right to live, use, and rent out the property

Can generate income from the property

 Right of Habitation (สิทธิอาศัย):

Lifetime right to live in the property only

Cannot lease or rent it out.

It is best to contact a Thai lawyer and secure your future property rights.
