The CDC and WHO recommend that travelers to Thailand get vaccinated against certain diseases, including the following vaccine recommendations.Â
- Hepatitis A and B:Â Strongly recommended.Â
- Typhoid:Â Recommended based on the traveler’s risk.Â
- Japanese encephalitis:Â Recommended depending on the traveler’s itinerary and activities.Â
- Influenza:Â Recommended, especially before the rainy season.Â
- Cholera:Â Recommended for travelers at increased risk or visiting areas with active transmission.Â
- Polio:Â Recommended due to an increase in cases globally.Â
- Yellow fever:Â Required if traveling from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.Â
Other vaccines that may be recommended include:
- Tetanus and Diphtheria.
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR).
- Rabies.
- Shingles.
- Pneumonia.
As of April 23, 2024, a vaccination record is no longer required to travel to Thailand.
