Over the years, Thai’s have figured out that they can turn nature areas into money makers.
I, for one, do not like to see the commercialization of these natural areas that are not under the Thailand National Parks.
Years and Years ago, some doctor, opened a coffee shop right at the base of Sarika Waterfall in Nakon Nayok, and soon the whole entry road was filled with shops.
Totally ruined the experience of this majestic waterfall.
Then a couple years later the court determined it was illegally built.
But you know Thailand, anything for money, right?
I don’t want to confuse tourist areas with natural areas.
There are lots of natural areas in rural Thailand that will never experience foreign tourists.
Basically natural areas are being converted for local Thai tourism and we all know there is not enough money there to ruin a natural area, but many Thai’s could care less.
Thai people will always need money, however, there are times they just have no common sense and ruin nature areas for profit.
